S4 = 0, CLK 430 = 1, Firebird WS6 = 1...What happned?

S4 = 0, CLK 430 = 1, Firebird WS6 = 1...What happned?

My stock Springs and Shocks were in the trunk
Was driving for 5 minutes and temp just hit 225
APR Stage II - 710N's (brand new) - H&R Coilovers
1. I was testing (I'm hearing a pshhhh sound when releasing the accelerator and was using the VAG to see if I had any leaks) out my car last night on Jericho Tpke when a CLK 430 and a BMW 330ci zoom past me. So I decide to go after them. It was my lucky night, or so I thought, b/c the light in fornt of us turned red. So, the 3 of us lined up...Green Light...I have a bad start (still need a lot of practice) but I still get going faster then the MB & BMW. This is where things get weird, obviously the 330 can't keep up, but the CLK 430 started to walk on me. It wasn't until I hit 4th that I started reeling him in. At that time he was 4-5 cars ahead. What is going on here. Isn't a stock 430's 0-60 6.1? I know I need to practice my rowing skills but come on. What can you do to a 430? I guess it could have been a CLK 55 with a 430 badge but who would do that? Any opinions?
2. This happened 2 minutes after the CLK. The light ahead of me was turning yellow and an Anniversary Yellow WS6 Firebird pulls up next to me. I know these cars are fast but I thought, I need to do this after that 430 beat me. So, the light turns green and again I don't get a good start, but we are still neck and neck in 1st. I went into 2nd and pulled a little, then he went into 2nd and really started pulling on me. When we stopped he was about 2-2.5 car lengths ahead.
What is going on here? How can I stay with a WS6 but get walked on by a MB 430?

Well, did you have any leaks?
Sounds like you might have. Also, if you suck at launching, you're going to get beat by other cars. It is very hard to catch someone if they're ahead of you. The Benz makes 275hp/295 lb-ft and is lighter than you, and all he has to do is floor it and go. The WS6 is geared taller than you, so if you were only accelerating evenly with him, as soon as you shift, he's gonna start walking away while he's still in the gear you just shifted out of.
