S4 build date - where do I find it on my car?

How did you know? I just got my 2001 S4 Black/Black end of March 2002. Car was practically brand new when I got it. Only had 133 miles on it. It's a manual too which I thought would be impossible to find but I guess I got lucky. Put about 3500 miles on it since and have had absolutely no problems....yet

We have the same car.
I knew you were a new member by your high member number. I bought mine in late december 2001 with 3000 miles. You did get very lucky finding one in manual. How did you find out about this site? There is also www.audizine.com if you are interested. Also the search function is great for finding information on basic stuff, chips, exhaust, wheels, BPV part numbers, short shifter etc since most of it has been posted already. What state do you live in?

Southern CT...Not too many S4's around these parts I just went and looked for it. I see "06 00" on the sticker which I guess means June 2000. I've heard of problems with turbos until late year 2000 build dates. Is this true? I also want to put an aftermarket alarm on the car sice I've heard how easy it is to bypass the stock alarm. I talked to an Audi dealer a little while ago and he said late model 2001 and above cars have an immobilizer. I guess mine does not but how can I test that?
