From what I understand, the new body style S4 will be based on the 4 door A4 coupe. I have heard that the A4 will be offered in the following configurations: 4 door coupe, 4 door sedan, convertible, and wagon.
This is all information that I acquired on the internet, however, so I can't guarantee its accuracy.

A coupe has 2 doors, a sedan has 4 doors.

Actually that is not quite right. The correct way to differentiate between coupe and sedan is to measure rear legroom. But yes, coupe oftentimes does refer to a 2 door and sedan is usually means four door. But not by definition.

I think they have approximations of all of the variations that will be available on the new A4.
