S4 Dream car? or money pit?

there is enough information here from real owners to know what you are getting into. At a minimum you will have to deal with pricey parts that one would expect to wear out... if you are lucky (tires, rotors, hoses, etc.) and then again you may have to deal with huge jobs like...control arms, or timing belt, or ABS, or the cheap *** A/C evaporator that has now broken at about the same age on not only my 95 90S, but my 96 A4 and now my 01 S4. (It's OK...it's only about a 10 hour job....) Why someone has to pay thousands of dollars to have a car that has working A/C is one of the reasons not to own an Audi.
On the plus side, not a whole lot of similarly priced cars I would trade it for....really no other cars.
I know....I'm sick like the rest of the freaks here. I mean...I have a Corrado for chrissakes!
