Is the S4 generally reliable or unreliable?

My whole steering system had to be replace at 25k.
Boost links here and there, tears here and there. Windshield fluid container linking, needed replacement.
Other than that, reliable as a high maintenance girl, show me the $$.

If you want perfect reliability, get a Toyota or Honda...
No German maker can match the utter reliablity of the Japanese brands. What you do get with these cars is a nice balance of quality, performance, exclusivity, looks/style and price.
FWIW, my S4 has had only minor problems (leaking windshield washer bottle) and has never failed to start and go in almost 3 years.
Most of the complaints on this board relate to people who have heavily modded their cars, with a few exceptions. If you want to go faster than stock, reliability will invariably suffer. You have to weight the risks against the fun.
