OT: other winter mats
I know that people on this forum are working hard to get custom mats available for our S4's. I just thought I'd mention what I've learned about more generic winter mats.
People in previous posts had mentioned good things about Weathertech and one of the guys even posted pictures of the A4 Weathertech mats he cut to fit the S4 a bit better. I visited the Weathertech website (www.weathertech.com) and simply entered an order for MY 2000 S4 mats. They arrived within a couple of days and look pretty much like those modified A4 mats except they were made to fit the S4 instead of having areas cut to fit. I'm very happy with them, although they were fairly expensive (about $44 for the two front mats). They have rear mats available but I didn't order those so can't comment.
Just an FYI if interested. BTW, they are really heavy!

Not sure what you mean. I didn't get the rear mats. (more)
If you mean did I have to turn the stock mats sideways, then I have to admit that I've never once sat or even looked in the back seat area. This is a one person car. Wonder what I should do with those extra two doors?

'00 S4 I'll have to try that back seat someday.
