Default What year is your car? Heres a quick story aboout Bosch MAF's. After leaving Audi for MAF sensor....

swap out under warranty...my Maf blew after driving 5 miles from leaving the dealer! Check around the maf area and make sure the connections are nice and tight and make sure the rubber gasket isn't sticking out. If it looks good then i supect another faulty MAF

I have a 2000 Audi S4. So could it be possible that even though the reading of g/s on Vag is within normal range, that the MAF is still bad? Thank You

Default What's the peak MAF reading on a WOT run in 3rd gear?

As he said, check carefully for an intake leak between the MAF and turbos. 99% of those leakes are at the top of the Y pipe and around that accordian hose.

Default also check your F-hose, one of them could be split/torn etc. also..

When I had a bad F-hose, I too thought it was the maf going bad. checking channel 032 on vag-com I was running lean at IDLE but rich at wot/partial throttle. Also, maf readings were 3.6gps. Once the f-hose was fixed my maf reading went to 4.5 and all misfires and lean conditions went bye bye. Aside from that, like others have said, check for other intake leaks. turn the car on, lift the hood and listen for air leaks or vacuum sounds that sound out of the ordinary.

In the end , it could still be your MAF but check everything else first. Good Luck. JG

Default THANK YOU EVERYONE

I unplugged the MAF and the misfires went significantly down, and now there is no system too lean code. This was my second MAF so i thought it would be good, however I was wrong. I have a new MAF on the way. With the MAF i get 2 misfires on cylinder 3 and 1 on cylinder 2. Which is normal i guess. Thank You for your help, it is much appreciated.
