Hi, i have already posted this problem. However i followed the advice and continue to have the same problem. This is the case:
I am using Vag-Com. The problem i am having is misfires on the passengers side of the engine cylinders 1,2,3. These misfires are consistent, however i believe the other side of the engine is being affected as well as cylinders 4,5,6 misfire intermittently. I replaced the spark plugs, the misfire seemed to have stopped for an hour or two. However when i started the car up again, the misfires continued. Then i proceeded to switch the coil packs from one side of the engine to the other, there was no change. I unplugged the MAF, and the misfires dropped significantly, almost non e at all. I installed a new MAF and the misfires continued. The ignition amplifiers were switched around and there were no results. Now i am driving the car with the MAF unplugged and it runs much better. I talked with a mechanic who told me that when a car sits too long without being used the intake valves collect water and cause rusting, i do not understand where he is coming up with this. I believe it is an electronic problem? Please advise with what I should do next? All your help is greatly appreciated. Thank You
-Michael

did you also swap them around when you moved the coil? Are you running a modified ecu? try putting the stock one back in. i had a similar problem last week. I swapped the x-chip ecu for the stock box, problem went away.

I had the exact same problem. if you run lean at idle and rich on partial/wot ( log 032 with VAG-COM )then it's your f hose. I also heard someone had similar problem and it turned out to be a check valve. but you have all the symptoms of a bad f hose. the only way to tell maybe to pull it out and inspect, usually when they go.... they go.... split wide open etc. My guess is you misfire at idle but not under load.
