Hello all, I ordered an S4 (the darker blue, 6speed, other heavy options etc.) for my wife last friday. Obviously .. we cannot wait.

Anyhow .. the price was MSRP, the location is Denver, we did not like any of the cars the dealer had coming in (wanted the nifty blue and black interior to match my M coupe) therefore they say it will take up to 4 months for the car to come in.

Is this normal? 4 months?<p>99 M coupe

actually, depends where you are but 3-4 months is about right. Plenty of variables though... it has to go into production, finish production, time waiting in german port to be shipped, sail time, time waiting in destination port, inspection, transit time by truck/train to dealership, and any delays associated with each step, etc. It's a damn soap opera for the impatient among us. Can damn near drive you nuts.<p><b>larryV</b>

Ordered mine early May. Dealer told me 4 months+. Arrived in 3 months.

It can be longer depending when Audi makes batches of certain colors. When the first S4's came out, Nogaro Blue were on every dealer's lots presold. Currently, it is coming out with silver metallics. Don't worry, I waited 9 months for my Aquarell Green metallic A4.<p>Kenneth Ng

for me, it was exactly 13 weeks from order to it getting dropped off the truck at the dealer......

I asked two different dealers and the deal is if they order today, it should get into the October build which means a late November/early December delivery.

If you <b>really</b> can't wait, you may want to call around the country and try and find one that's close to what you want; most S4s on dealer lots come with most everything but the phone and navigation systems. I don't know how common the Santorin w/sport package is, though...
