Default I would highly doubt it...

in fact, my dealer almost suggested that a SS is better 'cuz you won't come off the clutch too soon when shifting fast (not that you should)... I'm not saying they endorsed the SS, but they seemed to think it was irrelevant in my 1/2 synchro failure...

Default A properly engineered short shifter will not have an adverse effect.

A properly designed shifter maintains proper shift angles and distances.

~24k miles on this trans, so this would be considered excessive.
