I need to know when did audi (if at all)update the turbo oil supply lines etc thoprevent turbo failure. I need the build date mo/yr cause Im looking to buy a 06/00 built s4 thanks Ivan

The switchover was sometime around the 10/00 or 11/00 builds. 6/00 is the old version.

one involved a batch of oil feed lines being bent, obstructing flow - this was in some 2000 models and seemed to be an isolated case of faulty supplier parts. The second is more iffy, as opinions vary, but I have heard that the coolant, and perhaps oil, supply lines, were changed, but this didn't seem tied to the magical 10/00 or thereabouts build date (sometime earlier as some with earlier models have reported the larger supply lines).

There's been a lot of speculation on the turbos themselves and larger oil inlets on the housing. Especially with replaced turbos versus original. And no one has been able to conclude whether the "revised" turbos have this from the factory or not and when this occured. One thing to know is that 6/00 is the earlier 2001 build date, so you will need to monitor the F hose. I have 7/00 and haven't had any problems at 30k miles.

As early as 9/00...basically if you have NEW badges, No F-Hose, New TBB Clamps You have New Turbos
