Well, a number people have been inquiring about these springs. I don't yet know when the bulk of them will be arriving here in the US. We however had 1 set flown in for us. Here is just a teaser pic of what the resulting drop looks like.
Vogtland S4 springs/ Koni Sport shocks.

More pics, info, and writeup coming soon.

82-2502Sport
8210-1162Sport
Spec'd for the A4 and S4 for most of 2002.
Koni just recently spec'd a new part for the S4 specific. Though it shouldn't have any effect on ride height.

Actually, not sure who told you those were the first ones in the states, but I have an A4 and a S4 with Vogtland springs for the last 5 months. Maybe its a SoCal thing.

Why would anyone run that shock on a front heavy S4.. That is the issue here folks. You run a shock that is specific to your vehicle based on weight...
Running A4 shocks on an S4 is stupid, lame, dumb and shouldn't be promoted.

You actually run a shock based on spring rates, not vehicle weight. They are intimately linked however.
The rebound adjustability of the Koni's allows them to be used with higher spring rate springs without ill effects. The only difference with the S4 spec'd version is a slightly higher compression rate.
Besides, the S4 shocks from Koni are not out yet, and these were recommended by Koni without hesitation.
For an aggressive street application it's perfectly acceptable. Ride is fantastic, far better than with the H&R springs these springs replaced.
Springs rates are 396lb/in Front, 360lb/in Rear which is mildly aggressive, but by no means a full track type suspension.
Full stock on these is expected first week of July.
