Lets say you put Pat or Walt in the S4, and some kid in the VR4. We arn't talking about a corolla VS a Vett here.

I dunno know about that. I mean a C5 runs low 13's, so does a M5. I think the 3000GT with 300 hp and lot more weight to move might be a little bit slower than that.

Put two average drivers in those two cars. The VR4 will win.

I'm not sure of A4SUPRATT's driving skills, but if you want number for number comparisons, the VR4 will win.

Chipped S4's will get mid 13s(not including exhaust and other stuff).

Yes, the driver will make a difference. But not by much. Not close enough IMO.
