Default Although I did get a manual transmission, my parent's...

...bought me a VW Rabbit Diesel when I turned 16, so that I would stay away from the Mercedes. I learned how to drive a manual transmission when I was 11, so your plan would not have worked for me. I was so grateful to have my own car, I didn't even care about the mercedes any more anyway. Although I see your point, I think everyone should know how to drive a stick; even if they're not good at it. There may be a time when they HAVE to drive a manual transmission, and already knowing how could work in their favor. Just hide the keys to the S4, and if you go on vacation, take the keys with you or leave them with a neighbor or something. Having an automatic may make them want to drive your car even more (and grind the gears!), so be careful! The Jetta is a good choice though, regardless of tranny option.

Default All I want is a black on black '97, 911 Turbo! Porsche, please...

...bring back the curvy, sexy, and stunning 911! :-) Someone I know has a rare '89, 911 Speedster that I have driven and fell in love with. Even without the turbo, the 911 is such an exciting car. Anyway, he's thinking of selling it. Sure wish I had the money right now! :-( It's only got something like 10K miles on it. When will I win the lottery? :-)
