S4 vs RS4 Fuel Rail Comparison (pics - way more to come)
<center><img src="http://www.ecstuning.com/stage/images/dis/2393/600/2393.jpg"></center><p>hey yall,
i was surfing around and came across the RS4 fuel rail. does anyone on here know the differences between the 2 if there are any at all?
i even have one, but dont know the exact differences from the S4 one. also, it doesnt mention any changes in the SSP245.
it looks like an RS4 one would fit fine on an S4 manifold and vice versa. please let us know the differences, if there are any. cheers.

Why does that look like a Tip S4 rail? Note the vacuum pipe that runs under where the FPR is.
To answer your question, the RS4 rail mounting points do not line up to the S4 manifold. Also, the RS4 rail requires "shorty" injectors as the distance from the rail to intake manifold is shorter for the injectors.
There might be other differences I'm not sure.

dave, do you know the dimensions for the rs4 injector?
the stock s4 injectors are *already* shorter than most aftermarket injectors - 52mm vs standard 2.5" (63.5mm).<ul><li><a href="http://s4wiki.com/wiki/Fuel_injectors">http://s4wiki.com/wiki/Fuel_injectors</a</li></ul>

Yeah, the connections do look the same as a tip fuel rail...I'm looking at one in front of me right
now (part number 078 133 681 AR).
The only difference I can see is that the little metal thingy sticking off the vacuum line under the fpr isn't present on the tip fuel rail I have. I'm sure there are dimensional differences too though...

Here are the differences I discovered...
Right side does not line up in these pics:

Right side is off:

Left side lines up...but the injector holders are way off!

You can do this vice-versa but then the left side won't line up but the right side will.
ALSO, even when one side is lined up, the injector holders are NOT lined up (see pics)
