S4 vs WRX.. looks like WRX has more beef in terms of performance

S4 vs WRX.. looks like WRX has more beef in terms of performance
Have you guys been out on the tracks lately?? Recently I took part in a porsche and bmw track event and some WRXs smoked us S4s, M3s and M Roadsters. I hate to say this, but I'm starting to think differently about that "ugly car".
In the corners, the WRXs didn't seem to have any advantage over similarly tuned S4s, but on the straights, my god...they pass you so quick you would think only a GT2 class car could do that. I spoke with the WRX guys (really nice people) and realized that they had taken videos of the track runs.. U guys should really watch it, I'm totally amazed at what the WRX is capable of.

Well........Let's put it this way......
If you're going for straight race, the WRX is a great car. The STi and EVO VII will be awesome race cars....Way better than the S4 could ever hope to be, but...Have you ever sat inside those things? Not to mention they're FUGLY. They're awesome performance cars, but if you want comfort/luxury, you're SOL with those cars. Not to mention it needs a 6-speed. If you've got the extra cash to spend, wait for the WRX STi and throw down the $35k for it. You'll embarass a lot of supercars.

I looked at WRX. Impressive #s. But I couldn't get over how ugly it was and how ****ty the paint looked. Never even looked at the inside.
