S4 vs. WRX STi... Can you get the 300hp engine NOT in the STi?
co-worker just said he picked up a WRX, not STi, but that it has the same 300hp engine. is this true?

2.5 sorry. im sure they use the same block. we built a wrx at our shop
and they use all the same parts. same block and all. the 6 speed tranny will even bolt onto the regualr wrx, which we did

thats kind of like saying you bought an S4 with the RS4 engine. . .
they are the same motor, but the RS4 is modified (obviously). In other words, that guy's WRX is not putting out 300 hp stock
