Just had to jam them in at first to separate the two halves, but then it grabbed the center shaft firmly to pull the top one out of the bottom. Then the same for the bottom from the hood

Went throught the same procedure as you....
Thanks to Mr. Piggie for hooking me up with a used but like-new replacement.
I hope that the "whatever" animal that stole the material stayed warm! : )

Mice do things like that
There was a little nest under the Y-pipe next to the warm engine. I suppose it could have been another small animal that does mouse-like activities. It occurred while up in VT for a winter weekend
