Saab Viggen v. S4 - Opinions
I am currently on the waiting list for an S4 Avant. I was bored today, so I decided to test a Saab Viggen. It was a fun car to drive. Only real complaint was torque steer, and even that was manageable.
I am curious to hear some of your opinions.

You should read this Car and Driver comparison...
4-way shootout between an S4, M3, MB C43, and the 9-3 Viggen. S4 was 1st place, 9-3 got 3rd. This being a magazine, take the review for what you will. It's an interesting read, at least.<p>-jay

Re: there was a 4-way comparo in Car and Driver a few months back
I was going to include the reference in my original post. Obviously, the S4 took first. The Saab took third. Interesting reading!

Hey, I test drove one...
I drove a 2000 awhile back, about a week before I got my S4. Okay...here's my beef with it.
I loved the color, the looks are exciting and just screams individuality.
However, I didn't exactly get along with the interior (my bad taste I guess). Nor did I like the shifter (clutch was nice though).
The handling, and the brakes were amazing! Felt great to drive the car honestly. Cruised at 70 and felt like I was just stretching my legs.
On the downside yet again, there was some turbo lag. Not much, but noticable. (hey I left solid rubber coming off a light! Fun, but I like AWD :-)
Overall, a VERY good car for someone who doesn't need the space of the S4, the AWD....the enormous Audiworld community....
And honestly, if you plan on tweaking it, I'm sure you'll find a lot less people helping you out.
BUT if the S4 if just a touch too expensive, then consider a very VERY nice little sports car. Go for it. :-)

I had some old guy keep trying to race me in one a couple weeks ago...
I let him feel good for a couple lights, but then I was almost to work, so I put him rightfully in his place.
The poor guy probably had to go get a Viagra perscription that night...
