Doesn't audi have some sort of copy rights the quattro label? My wife's hair dryer is turbo. Has turbo written all on the side. Everything in the late 80s was turbo, from vacume cleaners to blenders. All turbo. Did they have lots of failures? Should my wife run her turbo dryer without the heat setting and gradually switch to the heated setting to preserve the life of the dryer/turbo? What about my vacume cleaner? I guess with the new razors you can launch across your face without losing traction, shaving cream is very slippary you know. Hate to slide off my face and cut my ear off. No M razors for this kid. Purely quattro! How about schick SUV. For that really outdoorsy beard.

And I think the latins for a couple thousand years before that. Which came first, the Audi or the Latins?
Hard to copyright and protect a foreign language word for "four" methinks.

Those two words are very common. However, copyright only extends to protection over products that are replacable in the marketplace. So, If Schick made an AWD car or system, they'd have Audi to answer to.

and one waives the right to any "exclusivity" of the tradename/trademark in all other activities regarding it's use except in cases where public confusion is, or shall be, created or fostered.
No confusion between cars and razors. Schick has every right to use "quattro" and unless it's been done before or a current registration exists for a like/similar product, the right to tradename/tradename the word as it relates to their particualr product or service. But again only as far as a razor goes. Neither Schick nor Audi are infringing on the others property or causing confusion in their respective markets. Nor can MS challenge "Office" Depot or "Word" Play for something that MS waived exclusivity on just to get their trade-names registered. And they "HAD" to waive exclusivity on those words just to get the registration by the U.S. Office of Patents and Trademarks.
