When i first start my car i've noticed a mild squeaking/screeching sound coming from the front of the car. It only happens for a few minutes if that, until the car has warmed slightly. It sounds a little like, mild fan belt screeching. It only happens on first start up more so when its cold, then any other time i start it up that day it's fine. I just wondered if it's anything to worry about?

I've just hit 80k, but i had all belts tensioners, cam seals, thermostat changed at 73k. Could it still be the problem? It should be covered under guarantee if it is, as it is less than a year since this was done.

sometimes using a wooden dowel with one end on the part you're interested in, and your ear up against the other end will help determine if it's that part making the noise, as you'll be able to isolate sound to that *one* part.
PS. Try to post as much as possible in the subject line.

tensioner, a fairly PITA job (front bumper has to come off, move radiator into service position). That got rid of a squeak. I also had a cold start knock that I thought was related. That turned out to be a loose connection to a knock sensor. Are you sure they replaced the accessory belt tensioner when they did the other stuff? It's not part of the normal replacement at that interval, and is often skipped when doing the timing belt, etc.
