Default Seat belt problem

Okay, this has been getting worse and worse as time goes on. My drivers side seat belt slowly retracts when I take it off. Sometimes it barely retracts at all and I have to help it along. Has anyone had this problem before? And how to go about fixing it? Should I just pull all the B-Pillar molding off and lube up the belt assembly? Thanks

Default Hmm I'd try to swap driver and passenger hahaha.

I thought about doin that with my seats, just b/c I'm OCD and hardly anyone ever sits shotgun. But only the seat bottoms could be done b/c of airbags.

I dunno about the seatbelt. I'd say clean/lube the mechanism, but it's probably just worn out.

Default Mine does it too...

When I was under full warranty, I had the dealer look at it. Apparently they did something to it, but whatever they did, it didn't help much. I do the same thing you do...help it along.

Not only that, but my belt itself has furry frayed edges. Looks strange when you look down with a white shirt on...

Morgan - you should get that replaced. Frayed edges on the belt are a safety concern, iirc.

Default Good to know, thanks...

I'm taking her to the dealer to fix my broken driver's side butt heat under the Audi Assured warranty, so I'll have them check the belt out too. Since I have to pay $50 (the deductible for Audi Assured), I'll make them inspect everything!
