yeah. little known fact. you could (not sure if still the case) special order any color that Audi
was currently producing world-wide (on any model) for something like $1500-$2000. not bad. that was the same range was getting Pearl White ($1,600 IIRC)
not sure if any sales associate could or just the top ones, but 1) they had to know about it and know how, and 2) be willing to go through non-standard steps to do this for you.

Not on the S4, do you really think there would be only 1 B5 S4 in the US with a color
outside of what was available on the order sheet ?
There were others that tried, how this person pulled it off is beyond me, I guess it slipped through somehow or someone had some pull.
