Default Shifting hard all the time...good bad?

I am talking about the action of moving the shifter from one gear to another, whether you are accelerating hard or not. MY brother freaks out when he sees me shifting the gear, he says take it easy and ...cluctch, pull to neutral, pause, and then shift to second...

I just clutch and then somewhat ram it into the next gear...dont know if im making any sense here. But let me know what you guys think.

Default Bad. Best advice: treat shifter **** like egg. Don't grip hard, don't "ram" it...smooth & easy.

Get to a bookstore & locate a few books on performance driving; they'll elaborate more on proper shifting. Loose grip on shifter **** is helpful, and smooth is the key.
