Default Shocks n Springs

Should I go with Koni shocks/H&R sport springs or Bilstein shocks/H&R race springs?

Default i have the bilstein shocks with hr sport springs and the ride is a little too soft for me...

not sure how that setup would be with the race springs though.

Default Um

H&R doesn't offer a Race spring for the S4.
They only offer a Sport spring, which is pretty low to begin with.
You might also consider the Vogtland Club Spec springs. They aren't as low as the H&R, but considerably stiffer.
They work great with the Koni shocks.

I just went through this whole dilemma...I love the H&R/Bilstein setup.

Default eh.

It's a soft combination, but not bad. It's kind of low, which is most everyone's concern, which is why the Bilstein's from Neuspeed is so popular. Everyone wants to raise it up a bit.

Default Personally I'd spend the extra $ and go with H&R coilovers.

I found my H&R/adjustable Bilsteins too soft and sketchy at the limit. They do give the car a good look I must admit although I did have slight rubbing with 18" SO3s in the front.

Default

yes, a bit soft for a track, but even this set up is too harsh for a major city

Default can you elaborate on sketchy? as in unpredictable?

or as in a low limit compared to coilovers?

Default I found them "floaty" or "bouncy" at the limit - to be honest an almost stock feeling

Once particular instance was a 2 lane change at 120 to make an exit ramp. I credit it to the progressive nature of the H&R spring. I'm much happier with my linear Stasis set-up.
