Default Just to be clear, I'm not dissatisfied with the work, just the level of professionalism.

In that regard, yes they do suck.

Default Wow, amazing. Radio and seat isn't a biggy, but smoke and 150+ miles??

I had a shop put 15-20+ miles on my car on two occassions and I was very upset, can't even imagine 150 miles!

Have you been to Eurotech in Holland? Their prices are fairly reasonable compared to other "competent" shops in the area. They have made several "minor" mistakes in the past on my car, which they fixed immediately free of charge, but they are also very professional and the owner Ryan has a firm knowledge of the B5 platform and it's common issues.

But god I wish VAST was closer. I would live there if they were.

Let's get Mike @ VAST to set up a franchise here on the West side of Michigan.

the only codes that really require some driving (50+ miles) are O2 codes

Default Happens all the time.....always chapps my fanny!

My wife's turbo Volvo had 52 miles on it when in for warranty shock replacement. They told her they needed to "seat the shock adsorber" and the mileage was required (BS!). Truth: One of the Service advisers took the car home for the weekend.

I once saw my Fiat at the Ice Cream shop when it was in for Head Gasket repair. I went over to Kill the Tech...(I was restrained). He was buying snacks for the whole shop. Said to me "hey..it is only a 15 minute drive".

Go way back to 2000 when our S4s were new and they cost $40,000+. One was wrecked on a LA freeway by a tech doing a High Speed joy ride. It made the nightly news with Helicoper shots and all!

PUNKS!

Default I used to be one of those "punks" working at the dealer. We used to flog the hell

out of the land rovers there on a dirt lot after hours. And we logged mileage before and after..Wash, rinse, repeat..

Default Well, I doubt they will establish a shop on the west side of MI...

But we will be able to get a custom flashed tune from them w/out having to drive over there, hopefully by this summer.
