SHORT REVIEW....Pirelli Asymetrico 225/45/17 Snow tires...
I've had these tires on my car for about 1 month and have only been able to drive them on dry roads. Here are a few observations that may help some of you decide...
Stiff sidewall = excellent stability (we're still talking snow tires though!)
Several 200+ KM/H runs* & the above comment still stands. I'm really pleased with the dry road handling of these tires.
Last night, we had our first snowfall...
These tires are fantastic. Traction is excellent both on acceleration, corners and on braking. I did some hard accelerating & braking to test the tires out (empty parking lot) and was really impressed with these tires. I certainly recommend them & after all, we're only talking about approx. $750 USD. Well worth the price of feeling/being safe throughout the winter.
*Please reserve lectures on speeding for those doing it near other vehicles. Before attempting these speeds, I ALWAYS ensure that all vehicles are really small & getting smaller (in my rearview mirror!) ;-)
