Default Should I amp my bose stock speakers?

I've decided to keep my stock bose speakers with my D3 after I rewire the rear ones. One of my coworkers at Best Buy said I could even amp my front door and rear speaker with like a 50x4 RMS amp (thinkin about the Rockford P400) and it would sound a whole lot better. Any thoughts?

Also does anybody know what the ohm and wattage of those Bose speakers are? I can't seem to find it anywhere online

Default What you should do is get an amp AND new speakers.

If you were only going to do one, changing the speakers will make a bigger difference. Also, be careful with advice from Best Buy "techs".

Default Yea i was gonna do that but i don't wanna throw $400+ on new speakers when I'm fine with my...

Bose ones. I just thought if spending $140 on an amp is worth it then I'll just do that. If not then I'll just rewire my rear deck speaker so they work again...

Default Just rewire and run off the HU for now then. If you still decide on getting an amp, I wouldn't worry

about the load because I doubt the Bose are under 4ohms. If they are you should still be fine. Just set the gains...

Default 2nd. Even though you don't carry the best products, you can probably piece together something

better than the stock Blose. Don't run an aftermarket amp to the stock bose speakers. just don't.

Default Unfortunately, the Bose that come in our cars are not the greatest...

If your gonna amp em, you should get new ones. the door speakers are a tough replacement IIRC.
