Get a good 4-channel and bridge the fronts to 1 set and the rears to another

Default That doesn't make any sense. You don't want to bridge anything.

You'd then get a 2ohm mono load across two channels, and there aren't many amps that are happy with that... and ones that are would be WAAAY too much power for those speakers.

Default You're right! Humidity warped my thinking a bit today! They'd wind up running at 1ohm! LOL!

A nice low wattage Class A would work real sweet, but why waste that on those speakers.

exactly. He should only change amps if he's changing speakers too.

Most decent amps will be fine at 2 ohms but again why waste the time and $ w/o new speakers?

yeah, the stock speakers won't handle the power... a 40w amp @ 4 ohms puts out 80w @ 2ohms

Default Thanks for all the advice guys! I've decided to just upgrade all me speaker. I'm gonna go with...

5 1/4" Infinity reference in the front door and 6 1/2" either component or normal infinity reference in the rear deck. I'm also gonna amp em with the Infinity 475 4-channel amp (75x4). I'm also gonna upgrade the rear door speakers with 3 1/2" infinity reference since there cheap as hell but keep em un-amped. I'll let everyone know how it turns out and mayb post some pics...
