Default Should I continue to mod my car?

I've done suspension, wheels/tires/ brakes/stage 3, bipipe, BPV, and a bunch of interior and exterior cosmetic stuff. As many of you know, however, the mod bug never stops biting. I'm thinking about ripping out the stock audio system, mainly so that I can put in a DIN sized head unit and mount three guages over it in the center console. Should I keep going with the mods or should I just try and hold back for a few years, then start over with a new car. Will I be able to sell a car like this in a few years?

Default To each his own.......

All of those mods and not one picture in your picture-poster? 8^)

If you've got the $$ and don't need it...then have some fun. I'm very conservative so the interior and exterior cosmetic stuff is not my bag...but if you like it then go for it.

I will tell you that the cars value will be much lower with all of the mods if you end up selling the car. Stock cars in Excellent condition get the highest prices......that is unless you find the perfect buyer who want's a highly modified car. Best of luck with it and show us some pictures!

Default Thats why I'm thinking of getting a used car in the spring...

Something cheaper to mod, to take the pressure off the S4.

Corrado or something like that...

Default You're not going to recoup the expense really. I've done basically all the same stuff as you

and I know EXACTLY how much I've spend and how much I want to spend. It really is sort of ridiculous when I compare it to what I could be spending the cash on, but oh well. The only way I can rationalize it to myself is if I keep the car long term. I'm at 2 years with only 30k miles so I'm hoping to keep it for at least 7.

I guess I'll see how realistic of a goal that is.

Stop the madness. Any money you would use for mods, put in a fund for a new car instead.

Default People who mod and sell soon make me scratch my head...

yes i mod heavily, but i keep cars long term, which is why i modded in the first place. You are flushing an awful amount of cash down the drain if you expect to get much back for mods, in general.

Try doing multiple cars, which is what i did. Make one a track car, or something completely different than the S4, etc...

Cheers,
Sameer
