Default next time you pull up to a C class, give that person a warm smile...

and just think to yourself, "Idiot" Keep smiling at them so as to make them feel uncomfortable.

with the awesome power of the s4, you can chase them around and scare the living hell out of them if they try to run away.

no i don't do this or really endorse it but it'd be pretty funny to see what they would do.

what people do just to get into a benz... ever sit in a C class? the thing has no real suspension. all the dampening is done with the springs inside the seat. that's one step beyond Freddy Flintstone's car!

Default I recently bought a Tip S4 and here are some thoughts.

I agree with some of the other people that this isn't a sports car but more of a sports sedan. My last car was a manual M3 and I wanted something more relaxing to drive because I wasn't the typical M3 owner (drive the car hard most of the time). I think a relatively small percentage of S4's are Tip so there will always be demand for a Tip car. Maybe not as much as a manual but some none the less. I don't know it this is true but I have heard two seperate dealers saying their starting to order more Tip cars because of demand. You can take that for whats it's worth. Hope this helps.

The S4 is such a unique car that I doubt it will be difficult to unload regardless of tranny. You can always sell it in SF, where only the brave drive sticks!

But I echo what some previous people have said on the board -- if you're planning on keeping the car 5 years, then get the car you WANT and don't worry about it. Chip the tip, and you've got yourself a truly fine automobile!

If you want true resale value, get a Honda Accord. (grin).

PS - Let's not get jerkish on this Tip vs. stick bent. We're all part of one happy S4 family ;-)

Go for it!!! For only 5K, you're crazy not to. Shouldn't affect your resale much.

Default Yeah, right. >p...

I'll consider the gauntlet tossed.

Ok, fun first. Perhaps a domesticated driver, but Nogaro S4's are never mistaken for a domestic taxi

Seriously, many folks need AT for various reasons or just prefer one. However, having chosen Tip, I hardly consider myself domesticated; if so, I'd have a 300M. I think we can all agree that we'd (except Matthew) still take an S4 over most anything out there, let alone a Passat. The combination of capability, style, stealth, value and just plain fun make the S4 incomparable.

Of course, ragging people about certain color choices has its own rewards Cheers!

Default Mint C36's don't go for that much nowadays, thanks to the C43. Try that.
