should i put 6.9 quarts of oil in or just keep checking dipstick and stop when its topped off?

Default I usually put in 6.5 with filter change, drive it around, let it cool
down on level surface then top off.

Default i usually just dump in 7 w/ filter change. i figure 0.1 qts stuck to the sides of the 7 bottles.
no issues to date.
