I know it's a common problem: Pople put change into their ashtray and a coin bounces out falling behind the assembly. The sliding drawer will not come out. Here's what I did....

Sat in car.

Grabbed the rearmost edge of the leather shifter boot

Curled fingers of bother hands underneath

Pulled up and back

Unscrewed shift ****

Pulled out full shifter piece

opened ashtray by pulling from the bottom

Pulled put a few old business cards from previous owner

Read that Mark had a doctors appointment back on 3-3-04

saw the coin in question

grabbed a pick/pry tool and fished it out

ashtray works like new!
