Default Ah, I forgot the AWE factor. You multiply and convert to years. ;)

So, two weeks x's 2 is 4 weeks. Convert that to years.... hrmmm. I am lost. It is gonna be a while. Give me a couple weeks.

Default it's not a bad bullet to bite if there isn't a market for a different kit...i guess we could

revolve this topic forever, huh?

k04's seem to be the easy, proven option...compared to something that might not hold up over time, not tested and such...

it would be nice if we could get proper software independently one day....oh well...i don't see anyone friendly enough to do that yet.

Default so, who developed the turbos? that's some custom work to get the fitment to mate up in a stock

location..they claimed 510 horsepower...who did the tuning?

i don't know if this is a load of crap or not.

Default i wonder...

what are the obstacles with using another manufacturer's turbos with our system? it seems k04s are mostly plug and play.. not doable with bb turbos?

Default Pretty difficult I think...

No real room to run different headers/inlet/exhaust piping to accommodate a different turbo.

Default well..you've got the exhaust housing and the oil/coolant inlet/outlet locations to worry about, not

to mention all the dimensions and all...it's not a very fun thing to think about, you know? like...would you want someone to cast you a housing that would fit right, then a couple thosand miles down the road have the freaking thing crack on you? it's things like that that scare me and make me see k04's in a better light...after all, if we're going to keep the stock locations of the turbos, that seems the way to go...also, the k04's make better use of the space allowed before the inlet of the downpipes at the exhaust housing...the wastegate flap and the exhaust turbine are pretty much maxed out.

Default would you want to relocate the turbos? personally, i wouldn't...i like looking down into the engine

bay and retaining the stock look.

Default not a bad option. the response time would be nice,....overall horsepower

capability would be about the same i'd guess...coulda stuck with regular k04's and still be alive? i wonder where the failure was.
