Default Similar to Jacob below, I have a WWAWD question inside:

So I set the engine back in my car today- sweet! Problem is, that when it was halfway in, I dicked around with the slave cylinder for a while, but couldn't reach it very well. I decided that while I know it's a HUGH PITA, to get the engine in place, & get the slave in once the motor was in. Now of course, I can hardly reach it, let alone see it. At least before I could see it.
Should I:
A-work with it from where it is and get it in eventually, or
B- loosen the motor mount nuts, pick the motor back up, pull it 1/2 way out & keep jimmying it til I get it in?
WWAWD?

Default Yeah, I took it off once I realized that was the only way I was going to get to it. I'm wondering

if it just won't be easier & quicker with a buddy to lift & pull the engine back out about a foot & try at it again. I suppose I'll give myself an hour or so in the current condition, & if it's not happening, then I'll consider pulling it back out.

Default You're supposed to reinstall the slave when it's about 6 inches from resting

It's hard to do even then, but persevere. Do NOT set it when the motor is rested on mounts. It's much harder to line up correctly.

Default Pull the motor back... WAY easier to put it in when you have the space... trust me I've done it

without and its a PITA.
