I'm running Cobalt VRs for everyday driving, aside from the noise, they're fine.

Default Running race pads on the street is fine as long as:

- they stop when they are little cold. I never had issues with Hawk Blues here, but then I never drove them through a winter.

- you do not mind accelerated rotor wear. I have a new set of rotors just waiting to be installed. So I left my race pads on to see how long they will need to kill my rotors. I heard as little as two weeks - I highly doubt that.

In the rear I run a mixed pad - Porterfield R4S with STaSIS 298 mm rotors - Absolutely Awesome combo! I do not switch these out.

Default I'm surprised at how well those pads work when cold. I've been tempted to do the same.

I just don't want to kill my rotors.
