SO-3's on Oettinger RE's. Will I have rubbing issues with the 235/40/18's?

S03 225's are wider than other brand's 235's...
From left to right: Toyo T1S 235/40-18, S03 225/40-18, Michelin Pilot Alpin 225/45-17.

With 235/40's, your speedo will be off by -1.10 MPH at 65 (<a href="http://www.c5-corvette.com/tirecalc.htm">Click for a Tire Calculator</a>).
From a looks perspective, the lower profile aspect ratio) of 225/40's look much better than 235/40's. However, the ride on 225's feels much rougher.
With 235/40's, I was rubbing in the fronts during aggressive cornering and hitting a bump with a 1 1/2 finger gap between fender and tire. With 225's, I have yet to rub.
