...The breather is used to let air out of the coolant lines when re-filling. The procedure is to un-do the breather while filling with coolant. When coolant starts to come out of the breather you tighten and fill until full. There will always be some coolant around that breather because you want it to leak out to show that all air has been removed. However, it should not continue to leak. Try tightening.

if so, that seems to be very tight... also, there is no residue below that.
The puddle seems to be confined to the top of the block area near where I see a black pipe come from the front of the engine and then continues toward the back underneath the intake mani.
