Default Snub mount DIY? Nah!

I STA but didn't notice where anyone mentioned that when the bumper suddenly pops off, you might lose a fog light to the process.

So now that I'll be replacing a fog light (for what $50, $100?), I may as well suggest that this job is better left to someone who has done it before - or a shop that will pay when they break your fog light.

The APR instructions lack a bit of detail. At step 6, there are actually 3 T-25 screws in each wheel well, the instructions made me think there was only 1 that reqiured removal.

Step 7 and bumper removal ... well, I'm still bitter about the fog light, but this would go much better with 2 people.

Step 8, I didn't find need to remove the washer lines ... maybe I'll be sorry later.

I'm sure there will be more fun when I regain my sense of humor.

Default only 1 t25 (that's correct), it states to pull your fogs no? And yes I broke my Washer T

It's a DYI job! You learn by breaking ****

Default Hate to say it but if most of the necessary steps to remove the bumper aren't obvious...

then you're right, its not DIY. But its certainly a DIY job for pleanty of people. I'm not ragging on you, its just an experience thing. You break a few things, you learn to look at everything that could be in the way more closely.

Its definitely easier with two people. Leaving the fogs in runs the risk of cracking a lens because of bumper flex, I'd bet. I'm actually surprised it comes off at all with them there.

YGM

I'm sure most people could do it, the extra pair of hands is needed only for the bumper. Oh well, I only have to do it once.

Default I've said "I only have to do it once" about several sucky things I've had to do on my car :)

I just spent the better part of two full days putting my stock brakes back on my car. Half the incompetence of the shop who first put my stoptechs on for me, half me learning the better ways to do it.

Next time I'll be able to do it in two hours... But thats what figuring this stuff out yourself involves.

Default I promise to take no comfort in your misery but I will say that

working on a car in January in DFW is far better than working on it in CT (or MA) during the winter.

Default Thankfully for working on my car, my garage stays very comforable during the winter.

Unfortunately thats a sign that I've got a terribly inefficient furnace that lets half my heat go into my garage.
