Looks like the VAST ceramic seems to be popular....
The RS4 clutch in my car seems weaker than the stock clutch in my B6 S4. What gives? Is it just wasted? I did a moderate launch today and got a weak engagement and some slight white smoke!

RS4 setup uses same disk as stock, pressure plate is the only difference....
....many seem happy with Vast or Clutchmasters disks, but I'm not sure if you can buy just the disks from either vendor (without buying pressure plate).

Its been in the car for like 25K and had numerous track events....
I bought the car from a buddy who took good care of it but it certainly has some wear on it.

Vast Kevlar and their LWFW, easy to drive combo, I was a little paranoid based on what people were
saying, but haven't noticed any downside yet. Very light as well.

I suppose my paranoia is around being able to put the clutch to good use on the street without it
flaking out.....like the current RS4 clutch seems to be.
I am not planning to 5K RPM drops on a regular basis but a 4K drop could happen periodically and the car will definitely be tracked but not really dragged.

Depends on a lot of things, but replacing PP when clutch is replaced is certainly not mandatory.
Obviously it must be carefully inspected and the SAC mechanism reset, though. Most people change pressure plates to get higher clamping force.
