And is it generally found at regular stations near tracks? I guess I'd be surprised if so, I haven't seen it near the ones I've been to. If not how do you find it?

Racing fuel, etc. You usually can't get it at normal gas stations though. You have to go to special oil distributors like 76, mobil, chevron, etc. They're usually in industrial areas, at least they all are here in eugene.

There's a large Sunoco around my area that sells 100 Octane Unleaded racing gas for $3.99 a gallon. When Ultra 94 costs $1.84 im not sure its worth it if your just going to "tool around." The closest track is Dover Downs but thats still maybe 40 miles south. Maple Grove (closest 1/4 mile track to me) sells anywhere from 100 octane to 114 octane leaded race gas probably for less than $3.99 a gallon but not much. Guy I know who races regularly buys 55 gallon drums of 112 leaded for his dragster. Not sure how practical that is, but it's another option. One other less popular option is to get a contract from Sunoco to put a tank underground at your house. Hey, its probably cheaper when you buy 10,000 gallons at a time.<p>Scott G.
