So, how much horsepower does a stock S4 *really* have?

Re: A few facts:
Actually I'm in seek of the truth and it is quite frustrating to me. Perhaps A M'S dyno needs to be calibrated. I realize that not all vehicles are created equal, and see that that you have very good math skills. I'm not arguing either, I'm just posting test results on my car. The tech there told me that drive train loss on 4 wheel d cars is around 35%. I wish there was another dyno around here were I could test my car on.

Oh....well, I misunderstood you! Here's something you'll like:
If your tech was right and your car's got a 35% driveline loss, then you'd be putting out 180/0.65 = 277 crank hp!
If the loss was a more-realistic 30%, your stock number would be 180/0.7 = 257 crank hp, still a bit more than stock.
I honestly don't know what the S4's driveline losses are. I've heard several figures, and I'd say it's probably on the order of 25-30%. Hope this helps...

LOL! No, this wasn't at the wheels; if it was, I'd agree with you there!
That was after correction for driveline losses; I don't remember the at-the-wheels numbers. I think one set was available at www.chip-tuning.com or something like that...
