S4 / RS4 (B5 Platform) Discussion Discussion forum for the B5 Audi S4 & RS4 produced from 1998-2002

So I just realized, after all this RS4 stuff, I still have an f hose? Can I just get rid of it?

Default Not really, I can measure them since the car is apart. One is off a Suzuki GSXR1000 and the other is

off a 99 Kawasaki ZX6R iirc

The Kawie fan is a 7" fan and the Suzuki fan is about 6"

Why in front? I would think behind would be better no?

i would think behind would block airflow......you'd want a much lower pressure behind the IC

there is more room in the front to work with. in front you will loose 10% CFM. FYI

Explain exactly how that is an "f" hose. Looks like a regular 90deg bend to me

Default Ditto, unless the A/H under-mani hose is not in front yet thats just a straight connection imo.

Hopefully you converted/eliminated that thing so you can dump the F hose.
