So I was at Willow Springs with the car last weekend, had a mellow time.
The weekend got off to a pretty crappy start: Eric had to make a trip to the hospital which was pretty scary (bladder stone I think it was), the car got a dent in the roof during the off-season, and when I tried to get the anual done on the car, they ran out of log books. *suck*
Other than that crap, it was fun getting back on the track with the NASA Time Trial group and we made some changes to the car setup wise that felt really good. Eric, dispite coming off his morphine trip, was out there like it wasn't no thang and we made some front alignment changes that helped nicely. The fruits of our labor came in the shootout at the end of the day; the car went 1:29.4 on a toasted set of tires. We widdled away bits of time at that track all last year and it was really gratifying to go out and blast into the 1:20's.
The car went back to AMS for an extended stay and I went back to Bakersfield only to learn that my flight back to NYC was canceled due to the storm. Fitting way to end the weekend, but I didn't mind cause I had all day Monday to think about that 1:29

Hey, I've been trying to find a rental for that VIR ACNA event, but I'm not having any luck. Also, I didn't realize, but my b-day is that Saturday so I might have a family obligation to be somewhere to "celebrate". So it's not looking good for VIR, but I want to do The Glen for sure!

I'll be @ VIR if you want to take a couple runs in the car. The Penske's will be on by then...
I might also have space in my room if you need a place to stay. Just tryin' to give you a couple less excuses so you show up : )

okay guys, I'll get back to figuring out how to make it work. I might end up having to fly down and rent a car or something. Although I'm sure the road trip down is going to be something I wouldn't want to miss
