So if the clutch engages at the very top of the pedal, my clutch is about toast?

Default So if the clutch engages at the very top of the pedal, my clutch is about toast?

I've been searching the past and reading about it. That is what i've come up with.

I have a RS4 clutch with a stock flywheel. Been in the car for maybe 8000 miles. Last weekend i was racing a bike for the hell of it. I lauched the car from a stop and when i hit second gear the clutch pedal stayed on the ground and rpms almost pegged the rev limiter. So i let out as soon as i realized what happend. Ever since then the engagement point has been at the extreme top of the pedal. I guess this bad boy is toast now?

Default I've done that, my clutch engages at the top too, i think thats hows its always been...

I've got the same setup and haven't had too much good luck launching well. I don't see why the clutch would be toasted that quick, it's an rs4 clutch..

Default I'm no expert but perhaps you should bleed it. Sounds like a slave or possibly...

the master cylinder. I have had similar issues with other cars. Does it slip under hard acceleration? I would think that would be a better indicator of it toward the end of its life.

My stick clutch releases toward the top of the throw and I have no slip whatsoever- then again I am only stage one.

Default Self Adjusting Clutch (SAC) Mechanism probably move to its wear limit and now is causing your high

pedal. Unfortunately time to remove and replace.

I would suggest an ASP upgrade =)
