So I'm in the middle of replacing my f-hose...
With one of the Home Depot specials, and when I pull it out, this little sucker comes out with it:

I'm looking down into the hose that it came off of which appears to have a cap sitting in there:

Can anyone tell me what that particular tube leading off the f-hose does?
The combination of the thing in the first pic and the plug in the second would seem to block that hose off leading out of the f-hose, but that doesn't seem right.
I also had a hell of time getting those bastard compression clamps off the original f-hose...
TIA guys - I appreciate your bearing with the noobs as we go up the learning curve.

you can ditch those clamps for time sake just get new ones or
you can use zip-ties like me that will also do the job. Otherwise have fun taking those off and putting them back on, there is no space to work. I just did it last night with Samco's hose.
If you are doing the Home depot way just make sure they don't move around too much. Again you can use zipties to organize them.
