The front/rear weight ratio seems closer to 50/50 unless I'm interpretting wrong (wouldn't be the 1st time):

Old specs:
2002 6spd Sedan
3593 lb Curb Weight
59/41 front/rear weight ratio

2004 6spd Sedan
3652 lb Curb Weight
No direct weight ratio mentioned, but
1230 lb front / 1100 lb rear
doing the percentage
1230/(1230+1100) = 53%
1100/(1230+1100)=47%
Granted, I don't totally understand this.
If the car weighs 1660kg then how does the front and rear axle loads add to (1230+1100)=2330kg?

Does anyone know how this is calculated?

Default Axle loads are the max rated axle loads of the vehicle...

...plus I bet it is really more than 59 lbs. heavier. The magazines were showing the 2002 A4 3.0 at 37xx lbs., and the Audi spec sheet shows it to be 200 lbs. less than that. Based on that, this S4 may really be 38xx lbs. in sedan form -- a solid 200 lbs. heavier than the current B5 S4.

Ahhh yes. Load "limit" makes more sense. Reading helps.

Magazine weights could be with a driver in the car

Default That's the test weight and is even higher than the curb weights published...

...I was referring to curb weights. I think Audi's unladen weight in these charts is with zero options, no fluids, and maybe even no spare tire the way the numbers have worked out in the past.

Default So is the curb weight listed in the '02 spec correct and the '04 spec incorrect?

Maybe both are listed low, but the difference between them (59 lbs) is probably accurate.

I'd venture incorrect on both
