so now that the e46 is here....
it doesn't have awd.
it doesn't have 4 doors.
it costs more than the s4.
wow, three pluses for the s4, and whatever else you want to list... and the e46 m3 wins.
go ahead. like your s4s. but don't try to say it is better than the e46 m3... unless you want a cheaper awd 4 door... and even then. please. the s4 was fair game for the e36 but... jesus, it's a damn sad story when you compare the s4 to the e46.

why do people start stuff like this...
In my opinion the e46 m3 is a much better car than the s4. You cannot compare the two. BUT the s4 is still a great car that can hold its own against a lot of formidable cars. To call one cheap is nonsensical; the build quality is excellent. The new m3 will kill pretty much everything else on the road, but this is an s4 forum, so of course people will defend their cars too.

there's a fine line (?) between defending a car and...
... being a complete moron about it, making wild and flat out STUPID claims. that's just what i see here a lot, is all.
