i live in the northeast and have a rwd bmw. would i rather have an s4 here? no.
but is the s4 better? yes. i just like the bmw better for what i need. yes, it's slower and rwd, and not a 6-speed, but for my use i like it better than the s4. just because you like the s4 doesn't mean it is better for everyone, even if they do live in the northeast, or northwest, or wherever. that's stupid logic. because you like it better, it is better than the m3? please. that's exactly what i mean.

Wait, isn't that exactly YOUR logic? You're qualifying an opinion as a fact by saying the M3 is sooo
much better then the S4 that there's no point to even compare it. In you mind it is, but not everyone elses.

You are confused..get a clue and head home...
The S4 as clearly stated above a "different" car then the E46...People buy the cars for different reasons..S4 fast Sedan 4 doors and quattro. M3 2 doors very fast 2WD...so if you live in CA and want to pay too much for a M3.go for it. But in Colorado and my salary...it makes the most sense.
