So in regards to removing the MAF screen, has anyone tested on the S4 with a VAG and have data?

Ah, but if you have removed a restriction, that *will* lower intake temp because the turbos
aren't working as hard. In fact that is the only way to flow more air - we're already pushing it in at X psi, so if we remove a restriction that will lower intake temps and flow more mass air. I still see this being equivalent to cooler ambient temps. The intake temp sensor is post turbo so it has no idea what the *ambient* temp really is. It doesn't know the difference whether cooler intake sensor temps resulted from cooler ambient temps, or from the removal of flow restrictions and more efficient turbos. Since we already know that cooler ambient air will show an instantaneous increase in airflow, then removing a flow restriction should also.

To some extent, I'd be lying if I said 100% yes : ) I need to sit down and do some reading...
but I have too much other crap going on. I shouldn't have goofed off so much in physics either...

Awesome, that definitely brings it together for me. Thanks again man.
Are you sure you didn't get laid tonight? What about before work? : P Hehe...
Now I have something to look forward to doing when I wake up at 4PM tomorrow.

Yes it does. The article makes sense. But not something I think I would do
without more testing.. 19% gain possibly, wonder what that equates to? I in fact have a secondary Air box and MAF
Thanks, hey. And Thanks Eric (heard that twice in one day, must be a record? )))))

I hear yah, but I think the point the author makes and several others here, is that...
if something (rock, stick, debris, etc) makes it as far as the MAF, you have bigger problems than the MAF getting damaged. I guess the MAF screen might hold it up so it doesn't make it the whole way through, who knows for sure though.
